Eleanor Ryburn is a Massage Therapist, Craniosacral Therapist, and visual artist. She believes in the innate healing capacity of our bodies and facilitates the healing process through her therapeutic bodywork sessions. Eleanor studied at the McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland, CA, and brings her ever-expanding knowledge of the human body and the modalities of Deep Tissue, Craniosacral, Acupressure, Prenatal and Shiatsu to her practice. Before coming to Massage and Craniosacral Therapy, Eleanor taught visual art to children and teenagers. When she moved from the world of teaching to the world of bodywork she went from facilitating the artistic process to facilitating the healing process and happily discovered that she could approach working with clients in a very similar spirit; combining her knowledge and skill with her sensitivity, curiosity, intuition and creativity. Eleanor’s sessions offer a safe and relaxing space for her clients to settle into while she works with both symptoms and their underlying holding patterns. Ultimately she strives to help strengthen her clients’ innate healing capacities so that they outgrow the need for her support.

Andrew was raised in Bend, Oregon until he was 13 before moving to the small NW Oregon town of Scappoose. The change from a town of 50,000 to 5,500 was a bit of a shock, but has sculpted him into the nature loving, spiritual and flowing being he is today. Andrew believes in body work and its healing abilities. He likes to think of his work as a time to listen to your body and allow it to direct him to where and what you need; some days that will be a Deep Tissue releasing session, and others a lighter more opening session to allow your mind to slip into that deep relaxation we all need. If a specific direction for your massage is what you need, he is more than open to provide what you request, be it Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Swedish, or one of his custom flows following the direction your body leads him; often this is a Myofascial Release, combined with Trigger Point Release before moving into a Deep Tissue style. Only your body will tell him what this massage will turn out to be like. Let Andrew help you reach your goals for healing and body transformation.

Amanda studied massage therapy with Jillian Aronstam at Everest College in San Jose CA in 2011. Her teacher Jillian connected and taught about the scientific and the spiritual aspects of massage. Her teacher taught a strong focus on ancient wisdom from various traditions including the Tao, Tai Chi techniques, Einstellen meditation, and energy meditations from various traditions and cultures. In Amanda’s own travels throughout the Himalayas, Nepal, and India she learned more about the power of energy and how it moves throughout the body. Using her knowledge of anatomy combined with tuning into the bodies energy rhythm, she listens through her hands to feel what her clients body is asking for. This provides a custom massage session each visit. Amanda incorporates Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, reflexology, myofacial, polarity therapy, acupressure, and Jin Shin Do massage to clear the stagnant energy flow from the body. Amanda is not a specialist in any one modality but rather has studied many types of massage that are used together to create a unique healing experience.

Arianna began her journey into massage therapy right here in Portland. She studied and practiced at East West College of the Healing Arts, where she obtained her 800-Hour Certification. While in school, her training was primarily focused in the modalities of Deep Tissue, Swedish, Tui Na (Chinese Massage) and CranioSacral techniques. Arianna views massage therapy as a collaboration between practitioner and client. She sees herself as a facilitator of healing and works to provide a safe and restful space for the process to unfold with each individual. By combining her knowledge of the body and intuitive knowing, her goal with each treatment is to bring every client closer to their ideal of wellness, health and a pain-free body. Aside from her passion for massage, Arianna also enjoys cooking, baking and experimenting with different recipes, discovering new music and seeing live performances, as well as being in nature, soaking up the sun and lush greenery of the Pacific Northwest.

Modalities: Deep Tissue, Swedish and Tui Na

Jeana graduated from Oregon School of Massage in 2006, as the beginning of her quest to find out what was going on under the skin when she gave backrubs to her family and friends.

Now certified in TMJD work as well as her staples of trigger point myofascial and Thai, she feels she is able to offer her best work to those who have a specific focus for where they would like to be with their body, mind and spirit.

When not massaging, there are books to be read, a kitty to pet, and the lively (and often lovely) mundanities of entrepreneurship to keep her humming.

Jessica enjoys helping people experience increased comfort in their bodies and in the world, through accepting and nurturing bodywork. She is happy to have found the Everett House of Healing Arts after much exploration. As a child, the massage seed was planted through regular reflexology given to her by her deaf grandmother. This was a bonding ritual that transcended words. Jessica decided to pursue yoga teacher trainings and attend East West College’s 800 hour program nearly two years ago. Jessica is excited to be able to exemplify a life and work balance for her son, and hopes to study prenatal and postpartum massage soon.
Jessica’s belief is that bodywork can be a very powerful tool to promote healing and growth, which can be more effective than talk therapy. Her massage training includes Swedish and relaxation massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, Thai, and spa techniques.
